Pool Covers on sale in the UK

When it comes to pool design and construction, various types of pool covers serve specific purposes. Two primary types include solar covers, ideal for retaining heat during summer, and winter debris covers, designed to keep leaves and debris out during the colder months. Additionally, safety covers are available to provide added protection against accidental drowning for children and pets.

Solar covers are crafted from high-quality plastic with UV stabilizers to withstand sun exposure. These covers feature a flat top and air bubbles underneath, serving to insulate the pool and promote buoyancy. With a silver underside, solar covers efficiently reflect sunlight back into the pool water while allowing heat to penetrate.

Typically, solar covers remain on the pool when not in use and are retracted using a pool roller system. These rollers consist of telescopic aluminum tubes adjusted to fit the pool's width, with webbing straps securing the cover to the roller. Roller tubes are supported by endstands, which may be fixed to the ground or equipped with wheels for mobility.

Winter covers, on the other hand, are constructed from fine mesh materials that allow rainwater to pass through while preventing debris accumulation. The mesh fabric is reinforced with webbing and secured to the ground with buckled straps and fixing springs to maintain tension. Larger pools may require additional crisscrossed straps for enhanced coverage and tension distribution.

By integrating these pool cover options into your design and build plans, you can enhance the functionality, safety, and longevity of your swimming pool investment.
